WHAT SERVICES DO YOU PROVIDE?

We provide a private dog walking service; Some clients use us one day per week, while others use us every day - we can conform to almost any schedule.
We also offer puppy visits and dog sitting services as well.
We provide cat sitting- While you are away I will come to your home once or twice per 24 hour period to look after your kitty. This service includes; feeding and giving fresh water, cleaning the litter box and providing playtime. Usually a 30 minute service. If any extra basic task is required (watering plants, bringing in mail, etc) please let me know and I will provide this at no extra cost.

WHERE WILL YOU WALK MY DOG?

We have excellent knowledge of the best dog walking places, and we’ll take your dog to whatever location is suitable to the needs of your dog. Alternatively, you can direct us to an area of your choosing - ultimately it’s up to you.

HOW LONG ARE THE WALKS FOR?

Our walks are priced at a 30 minute rate or an hourly rate.

DO YOU DO PACK WALKING? DO YOU DO OFF LEASH WALKING?

We do not do pack waking. We want your dogs to have the one on one attention they deserve. The only time we will ever walk multiple dogs at one time is if they are from the same household and it is requested by the owner. For the safety of the dog we do not do any off leash walking.

WHAT AREAS DO YOU SERVICE?

We service Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam and Port Moody.

DO YOU KEEP CLIENT’S KEY/ALARM CODES CONFIDENTIAL?

Yes! They are kept in a closed safe location - we are bonded and insured, and your security is a priority.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

Advanced notice is always preferred, however you can still cancel up to 24 hours in advance without penalty. A full fee will be charged to you if cancelled afterwards. In emergency situations there are exceptions.

DO YOU HAVE REFERENCES?

Yes! All you have to do is ask, and we’ll be more than happy to provide you with references from other happy clients and their pets.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE BONDED INSURED AND LICENSED?

Bark in the Bark is bonded and insured through Canadian Pet Pro. Bonding protects you from theft by a pet sitter. Insurance protects you, your home and your pet. Bark in the Park is a registered and licensed company in BC.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT TO DO YOU ACCEPT? WHEN IS PAYMENT DUE?

E-transfer and cheques are accepted as forms of payment.

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE COMPLIMENTARY FIRST MEETING?

Before beginning any dog walking or cat sitting service, I will schedule a complimentary meeting with you and your pet, which will take place in your home. I will ask about your pet's history, health and temperament, discuss your specific needs and schedule, as well as go over my prices and policies.
For dog walking services, we will go for a short walk with you and your pup so I can get to know you both better and address any concerns or requests that you have.
At the first meeting the following information should be available:
2 emergency contact numbers-in the event of an emergency and we are unable to contact you
Vet contact information- name and address
Medical history of pet- any allergies, past surgeries and past injuries that we need to be aware of.
Pet’s Information- this includes birthdate, tattoo microchip, weight, feeding instructions (if applicable), temperament and personality, living area, and favorite games and toys.

WHAT SHOULD I DO TO PREPARE FOR DOG WALKING OR PET SITTING SERVICES?

Please leave leashes/harnesses, poop bags, food, kitty litter and any other relevant items out for us in a central location in your home-so we can always find it. Also, please advise where to find cleaning products, in case a mess needs to be cleaned up.
We will send you a text message, once we arrive and we will send you another text message, with a report of how our visit went, when we leave.
